Two manga series get off to a strong start with their second volumes on the list of the Top 20 best-selling Adult graphic novels according to Circana (formerly NPD) BookScan data for February 2025 (2/2/2025 – 3/1/2025) provided to ICv2.
For the second month in a row, the Top 20 consists entirely of manga and manhwa. Two second volumes are especially worth noting: Kagurabachi, from VIZ Media, and The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All, from Yen Press. VIZ was heavily promoting Kagurabachi at New York Comic Con, and the first volume topped the November 2024 Top 20 (see “November 2024 Circana BookScan“). The Guy She Was Interested in… was Yen’s top-selling debut of 2024 (see “Yen Press Reveals Top Titles and Genres of 2024“), and they sold out of copies at New York Comic Con. Neither of these manga has an anime attached to them (yet), so these strong second-volume sales indicate that readers liked what they saw and came back for more.
