IDW Media Holdings cut its loss in its fiscal Q2 ended April 30 to $144,00 in 2026, down from $533,000 in the year ago period. This continues a positive trend for the year; the company reported a net profit of $141,000 in the previous quarter, up from a $1.2 million loss in the same quarter the previous year (see “IDW Finds Profits”).
Publishing revenues for the quarter were up 16% to $5.5 million in 2026 from $4.7 million in the year ago quarter, which the company attributed to increases in direct market sales from IDW Dark titles and the post-Diamond Comic Distributors-bankruptcy recovery of the market, along with smaller increases in book market backlist sales and royalty and licensing revenues.
While an order of magnitude smaller than the publishing increases, IDW Entertainment revenues grew to $147,000 from $91,000 a year ago, which appear to be due to optioned project revenue.
