Mothership Games has announced two U.S. distributors to the hobby channel as its Kickstarter passes $1 million in pledges in its initial days. ACD Distribution and PHD will distribute Cataclysm Arcade TCG to hobby game stores in the U.S.; PHD will also distribute it to the UK and Latin America, Let’s Play Games to Australia and New Zealand. Distribution will commence following shipment to Kickstarter backers, which is scheduled for Q4 2026.
This post-apocalyptic TCG, developed by Brian David-Marshall and Jay Van Hoy, was originally announced at PAX Unplugged 2025 and previewed in spring 2026 (see “Bosses Duke It Out“). A unique game design allows play out of a single booster pack, and the cards feature artwork by Steve Ellis, Andre Garcia, Adriano Kitane, and more. To date, the project has raised $1,070,154 from 4,780 backers (about $224 per backer).
“We’re a small indie studio that’s doing things that fly in the face of conventional wisdom, but the support we’ve gotten from this Founders community on Kickstarter means that we get to make this game a reality,” said Jay Van Hoy, co-founder of Mothership Games. “We’re so grateful for the community that we built and will continue to grow, well into the future through events and organized play.”
