Big Increase in Toys ‘R’ Us Stores

Go! Retailer Group is turbocharging its Toys “R” Us store growth this holiday season, more than tripling the number of flagship stores, and adding even more doors in a holiday store format, the company announced. 

Eight new flagship store locations have been announced:

  • Chicago Premium Outlets – Aurora, IL – Now Open
  • Camarillo Premium Outlets – Camarillo, CA
  • Arundel Mills – Hanover, MD
  • Jordan Creek – Moines, IA
  • Westroads Mall – Omaha, NE
  • Denver Premium Outlets – Thornton, CO
  • Tanger Outlets Deer Park – Deer Park, New York
  • Towne East Square – Wichita, KS

The eight new stores join existing flagship store locations in American Dream in New Jersey, Mall of the Americas in Minnesota, and Harlem Irving Plaza Mall in Norridge, Illinois (see “Toys ‘R’ Us Continues to Expand“).

Go! Retail Group is also bringing its experience as the largest operator of pop-up shops to the Toys “R” Us brand, and will open at least 20 seasonal holiday shops for the 2025 season:

  • Great Lakes Crossing – Auburn Hills, MI – Now Open
  • Grapevine Mills – Grapevine, TX – Now Open
  • Lakeside Shopping Center – Metairie, LA – Now Open
  • Tanger Outlets – Nashville, TN – Now Open
  • Crabtree Valley Mall – Raleigh, NC – Now Open
  • The Mall in Columbia – Columbia, MD – Now Open
  • South Plains Mall – Lubbock, TX – Now Open
  • Westfield Southcenter – Tukwila, WA – Now Open
  • Station Park – Farmington, UT – Now Open
  • Deptford Mall – Deptford, NJ
  • Eastland Mall – Evansville, IN
  • Mall of New Hampshire – Manchester, NH
  • Bay Street – Emeryville, CA
  • Twelve Oaks Mall – Novi, MI
  • Park Meadows – Lone Tree, CO
  • North Star Mall – San Antonio, TX
  • Tanger Outlets – Sevierville, TN
  • King of Prussia Mall – King of Prussia, PA
  • Crocker Park – Westlake, OH
  • Walden Galleria – Buffalo, NY

Additional locations will be announced through the season. 

Go! Retail Group CEO Gideon Schlessinger noted the importance of the surge.  “This holiday marks an important step in our expansion strategy for the Toys “R” Us brand,” he said in a statement accompanying the announcement.  “Through both flagship stores and seasonal holiday shops, we are delivering the same experience nationwide, strengthening our presence while meeting consumer demand during the most important season of the year.”

The Toys “R” Us brand is also represented via toy departments in Macy’s stores nationwide, and in airports and on cruise ships via stores operated by Duty Free America.
