Capstone Games has announced pre-orders for Prague Unseen and the Bermuda Triangle expansion for Pirates of Maracaibo.
In Prague Unseen, players are rebuilding Nineteenth Century Prague by blending mythological creatures and mechanical technology. They deploy their team composed of Golems, Horned, Robots, and Vodniks to acquire knowledge, protect the city, and influence the Vltava river. They must use their workers’ unique abilities to reconnect the city’s neighborhoods and prepare the city for the future. Along the way, they will have opportunities to add new action spaces to the board and compete in four mini-games inspired by Prague’s mythological past to unlock abilities and expand their influence across the city, trying to win majorities in the four neighborhoods.
Prague Unseen comes with a main game board, 4 player boards, over 100 wooden tokens, 132 cardboard tokens, 42 tiles, 115 cards, and a linen bag. The game was created by Jindrich Pavlasek (Balada), Michal Peichl (Forestry), and Petr Vojtech (Toil & Troublez) for one to four players, and plays in a bit under two hours. MSRP is $69.99.
Pirates of Maracaibo: Bermuda Triangle is the second expansion set for Ralph Bienert, Ryan Hendrickson, and Alexander Pfister’s 2023 title Pirates of Maracaibo (see “‘Pirates of Maracaibo’ Expands with ‘Commanders’“). This expansion challenges the buccaneers to brave the dangers of the Bermuda Triangle in special Treasure Hunts, racing to find the most valuable treasures. The expansion also introduces new improvement cards players can acquire as well as an upgraded solitaire version of the game.
The expansion introduces 60 new cards to the game and supports play with one to four players. Games including the expansion take about an hour and a half to play. MSRP is $18.99. A copy of the base game is needed to play.
Capstone will also soon launch Greenwood (see “Capstone Will Release ‘Greenwood’”).
