Rounding up New York Comic Con (NYCC) Marvel Comics news, here’s more on Daredevil #700, Hulk War: Infernal Rage, and G. Willow Wilson on Captain Marvel.

Daredevil #700, on sale March 2027, marks a milestone for the series.  It’s written by Stephanie Phillips with art and wraparound cover by Lee Garbett, as well as a variant by David Mack.  The storyline starts in January with Daredevil #11, featuring guest artist Emilio Laiso and new character Latch.

The relaunch of the series earlier this year set records as the biggest debut issue in Daredevil history (see “Top 50 Comics – April 2026“).  Phillips’ story has followed Matt Murdock in a new role as a professor at Empire State University and pitted him against Omen, a threat to both Murdock and his superhero identity of Daredevil.  Out December 22, 2026, is Daredevil Volume 1: Tomorrow’s Devil, collecting the first five issues of the series.

The first issue of Hulk War: Infernal Rage is out in February 2027.  The ancient evil called the Eldest has taken over the Hulk and transformed him into the Infernal Hulk.  Written by Phillip Kennedy Johnson with art and cover by Nic Klein, the five-issue Hulk War event concludes the “Infernal Saga,” which began in 2023 with the team’s Incredible Hulk #1.

Recently, Marvel has been releasing Infernal Hulk Vs. one-shots, in which the jade giant assembles the Infernal Avengers, grotesquely warped versions of heroes (see “Marvel’s Next Big Thing“).  The finale event promises conflict across the Marvel Universe, which the Hulk has declared his kingdom.

Coming May 2027, G. Willow Wilson writes and Rachael Stott illustrates an ongoing Captain Marvel series. Spinning out of Avengers: Armageddon and the upcoming Avengers series by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto, Captain Marvel finds Carol Danvers challenging herself and breaking rules to defect “a threat that has been quietly assembling in the shadows of the Marvel Universe for decades.”  Wilson was Marvel-exclusive during her bestselling run on Ms. Marvel (see “Writer Goes Exclusive“) before leaving to work on DC titles (see “Wilson Takes Over ‘Wonder Woman’“).

Additional Marvel NYCC news included plans for new graphic novel lines (see “Marvel Renown and Marvel Brick“); Spider-Man tie-in comics (see “New Spider-Man-Related Comics“); and Marvel Television news (see “Showbiz Round-Up“).
