Legend in the Mist is one of the most anticipated new fantasy RPGs, and its “LaunchFest” celebration is still going for another two days.
Lots of people, BoLS included, have a lot of nice things to say about the upcoming narrative-driven fantasy RPG, Legend in the Mist. This multi-award-winning RPG focuses on folk fantasy and the kinds of storytelling that make you feel like you’re playing an unlikely hero from a small village, somewhere in the mist. And right now, Legend in the Mist publisher Son of Oak is celebrating the imminent release of the game with the LaunchFest event, raising nearly $2 million before the game launches, letting you unlock even more stuff for the game when you pre-order.
Legend in the Mist’s LaunchFest – Two Days (And Change) To Go
At press time, there’s two days and five hours left in Legend in the Mist’s LaunchFest. But that’s still plenty of time to get your hands on some of the amazing “digital drops” and other unlock goals from the crowdfunding event.
This is for folks who have been thinking about picking up the game, but there have been something like eight weeks of bonuses, including new character kits, new ways of magic, new challenges to face in the game. There’s been something for everyone, from player to GM.
And on top of that, during LaunchFest, Legend in the Mist is available at a 40% discount. So if you’ve been thinking about it, this is one chance to save big on the new game, if you haven’t backed it already. With more stretch goals set to unlock by the time the festival ends, you can get potentially a ton of new stuff for the game when you join in now.
“Legend in the Mist is a new tabletop roleplaying game engine with which you can play in any fantasy (or other) setting. If you’re craving more creative freedome in your TTRPG and you’re tired of D&D clones, this game is for you.”
As an example of the stretch goals that will probably unlock, next in line is a printable tarot deck designed to let you use Interpretive Questions when playing the game. As for the game itself? It works off of a system of narrative tags. You have various tags that describe aspects of your character, you can use them to gain a bonus on a 2d6 roll, but doing so has consequences, and all that’s just the bird’s eye view.
