DC Comics has announced Batman/Superman/Weird Al: World’s Weirdest #1, a 40-page one-shot that brings celebrated parodist Weird Al Yankovic into the world of DC.  Written by Mark Waid (with some assistance from Weird Al), with art by Dan Schoening, the story has Mr. Mxyzptlk turning to Batman and Superman for help after a mysterious plague makes everything in the Fifth Dimension normal and boring.  When the same affliction reaches Earth, the superheroes call in Yankovic to make the planet weird again.  Schoening will do the main cover for the one-shot, which will be released on September 2, 2026, with variant covers by Mark Spears, Riley Rossmo, and Jerry Gaylord, as well as another Schoening cover.

Yankovic was guest editor for an issue of MAD Magazine and has appeared on two DC variant covers, both drawn by Dan Mora, for Bizarro: Year None #1 and Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #50.  And he has been the subject of a graphic novel himself, Z2’s Eisner-nominated The Illustrated Al (see “Peter Bagge, Michael Kupperman, and Other Artists to Illustrated Weird Al’s Lyrics“).
