As Absolute Catwoman #1 goes to press for a second printing, DC Comics has announced a one-shot spinoff, Absolute Cassandra Cain: The Shadow’s Hand #1, which will be released between the third and fourth issues of Absolute Catwoman.
Absolute Cassandra Cain, which will reveal the lead character’s origin story, will be written by Absolute Catwomanwriter Che Grayson with art by Matias Bergara. The one-shot will be published on September 9, 2026, with a main cover by Absolute Catwoman cover artist Bengal and a variant by Bergara. Absolute Catwoman will resume in October.
Meanwhile, DC has ordered a second printing of Absolute Catwoman #1, just as the first issue hits comic shops on June 10. The second printing will be available on July 15 and will feature a main cover by Bengal with a recolored logo as well as an open-to-order variant by Guillem March and a foil variant by Kaare Andrews.
