A new Avatar: The Last Airbender graphic novel telling the origin of the Blue Spirit is coming February 2027.
Avatar: The Last Airbender—Enter the Blue Spirit is written by Faith Erin Hicks, illustrated by Peter Wartman, and colored by Adele Matera. While exiled, Prince Zuko and Iroh discover a Fire Nation colony that needs protection, leading Zuko to become the Blue Spirit for the first time.
The same creative team has worked together on previous character-focused stories in the universe (see “Three ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Graphic Novels Boxed Set“). This 80-page graphic novel will be published by Dark Horse Books, in collaboration with Avatar Studios, on February 23, 2027, with a cover price of $13.99.
