Popular D&D actual play Dungeons & Daddies has a popular BackerKit for a book that says right on the cover it’s not a BDSM sourcebook.
If you missed it in the wake of all the Gen Con announcements, the RPG actual play podcast Dungeons & Daddies has a new sourcebook out on BackerKit right now. With just under two weeks left in its crowdfunding campaign, the book rounds on its last stretch goal.
But what is the Dungeons & Daddies campaign looking for? Well, it’s “Not A BDSM Sourcebook,” you can bet on it. In fact, it’s a 5E sourcebook full of, well, exactly the same kind of humor that you’d find in the podcast of the same name. Where you’ll find locations like Roqueporte and Meth Bay, spells like ‘Speak Japanese’ and ‘Skip Therapy’ and a whole catalog of one-shot adventures.

The whole premise of the sourcebook is that it adds the rowdy, sometimes hornily so, hijinks of Dungeons & Daddies to your campaign. If you want to add a bunch of humorous new spells, subclasses, and the like to your world, or if you just want to get your friends into a more lighthearted game, this is the book for you.
Obviously it’s also a big draw for anyone who is a fan of the AP as well. But what can you expect within? Well, let’s take a look.

In practical terms, this means five “dad-flavored” reskins of existing D&D classes, like the Hippie Dad, Business Dad, or Gamer Dad. Alongside those, are eight new “daddy-magic-infused subclasses” that unlock powerfulish new abilities. All the while, you’ll explore locations from the actual play campaign.
