Pendragon’s upcoming new Noble’s Handbook has been delayed to the end of the month, following global shipping disruptions.

Exactly what the headline says. The complex web of global shipping is disrupted once again by any number of factors (it seems to be a common theme these days), and as a result, another book is delayed. This time it’s the Noble’s Handbook for Pendragon, Chaosium’s RPG of Arthurian knights and chivalric virtues and vices.

Pendragon’s ‘Noble’s Handbook’ Delayed To June 24th

Though, fortunately, the delay is only to the end of the month. It is expected to arrive in wide release on June 24th. If you’re unfamiliar with what lies in wait, this is the book for all things pertaining to the nobility in the world of Pendragon.

That means new rules for running markets and manors as well as your castles and creeds. This is where the game veers into similarities with games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance and its sequel, though it’s worth pointing out that Pendragon did it long before either game came out.

If you want to play a full on noble house, Pendragon is the system for it. With its generational tales and rules for following the heirs of your player characters when the wheel turns, it’s a great way to play out a dynasty. Especially as Camelot changes around you.

“The Pendragon: Noble’s Handbook is packed with new rules markets, manors, castles, family events, creating Player-ladies, and of course, horse breeding! This beautiful tome will be available in standard and collector’s edition in June.”

It’s pretty timely, considering that Chaosium is also gearing up for The Boy King as it revisits the Great Pendragon Campaign, which follows the rise and eventual fall of Arthur over the span of 80-odd years. It’s an epic campaign in the truest sense, and having rules for playing the nobility are sure to add to that feeling of epicness.

So be on the lookout for The Noble’s Handbook at the end of the month, and The Boy King not long after.
