Legends of Avantris’ Neon Odyssey TTRPG project has passed $10 million in crowdfunding on Kickstarter.
As of the publication of this article, this campaign has raised $10,621,590 from 30,538 backers (about $348 per backer) with 8 days to go. Neon Odyssey is a three-book, over 1,400 page Space Opera RPG campaign setting for 5E. This setting was written by the creators of The Crooked Moon RPG (see “‘The Crooked Moon RPG’“), and is inspired by sci-fi films, retro video games and animation. The game allows players to explore the Stardust Rhapsody, a galaxy with 30 strange new worlds, with heroes that have sci-fi class skins of 5.5E character archetypes.
The campaign offers up three books: Outrunner’s Handbook (a character guide), Cosmic Codex (setting book), and Overdrive Expansion (expansion book). These books feature the character classes (with 52 subclass options), new rules for space combat, 40 missions to play through, and more. Estimated delivery for this TTRPG is Q4 2027; thus far, there is no word on a retail release.
