Oni Press has signed an exclusive, worldwide, multiyear distribution deal with Penguin Random House Publisher Services, beginning on August 1, 2026. The deal covers distribution of all Oni Press and Magnetic Press comics and graphic novels to all channels, including the direct market and bookstores.
PRHPS will replace Oni’s current distributors, Lunar Distribution for the direct market and Simon & Schuster for the book channel. Oni had also been distributed by Diamond Comic Distributors until June 2025 (see “Oni Press Suspends Distribution via Diamond”).
The move comes just ahead of two major Oni releases, Fort Psycho #1, by Matt Kindt and Brian Hurtt (see “Matt Kindt Moves Flux House Imprint to Oni Press“), and Archie #1, the first release under Oni’s new licensing deal with Archie Comics (see “Archie Licenses IP to Oni Press“).
“There is simply no better partner than Penguin Random House in maintaining and growing Oni’s longstanding relationship with retailers and readers,” said David Steward II, Chairman of the Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group, in a statement accompanying the announcement.
