Peach Momoko will write and draw a new five-issue limited series, Sai: Dimensional Rivals, with help from a roster of artists including Stan Sakai, Esad Ribić, Natacha Bustos, Mike del Mundo, and Sara Pichelli. Sai, the Ultimate Universe take on the X-Men character Psylocke, was created by Momoko and debuted in Demon Days: X-Men #1 (see “Peach Momoko Prestige X-Men Series”). A yokai-fighting telepath from an alternate version of feudal Japan, she is also a featured character in the Marvel Rivals video game. Marvel will release the first issue of Sai: Dimensional Rivals, co-written and drawn by both Momoko and Sakai, on January 14, 2026, with a cover by Momoko.
“For this series, Sai will be the main character,” Momoko said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “I asked various artists to have fun depicting Sai in their own unique vision. Sai will be traveling between different universes and having different experiences based on each artist’s own perspectives.”
