DC Comics has added a new title to its upcoming catalog of Compact Comics, and this one has a movie tie-in.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow: DC Compact Comics Edition, by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, collects the entire eight-issue miniseries, in which an alien girl recruits Supergirl to help her avenge the destruction of her planet. The 216-page paperback will go on sale on January 6, 2026, at the standard Compact Comics price of $9.99.
This is the first Compact Comics title DC has announced for 2026 (see “DC Expands Compact Comics”), and it’s aptly timed, as the movie based on the miniseries is slated to premiere in June (see “DC Studios Updates”). Anticipation seems to be growing, as the trade (released in 2022) was one of the Top 20 graphic novels sold through ComicHub in July 2025 (see “Top 20 Graphic Novels”), and the deluxe hardcover, released in 2024, made BookScan Top 20 Superheroes chart (see “July 2025 Circana BookScan”).
