Lots of trailers and news from Hollywood this week, and we round it all up here.

Ketchup Entertainment has released a trailer for Coyote vs. Acme, the long-awaited live-action/animated hybrid feature.  It was completed years ago, then deep-sixed in 2023 for a tax write-off by the David Zaslav regime at Warner Bros.  After an outcry, Warner Bros. shopped the film, which was picked up by Ketchup Entertainment (see “’Coyote vs. Acme’ to Cannes“).  Will Forte, John Cena, and Lana Condor star in the film, which was directed by Dave Green, and written by Samy Burch based on the New Yorker article “Coyote vs. Acme” by Ian Frazer.  It will premiere on August 28, 2026.

DC Studios has released a teaser for Clayface, a horror thriller starring Tom Rhys Harries in the title role, along with Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, as well as Nancy Carroll and Joshua James.  The film was greenlit in late 2024; James Watkins directs.  DC is kicking off a new series this summer (see “Preview: ‘Clayface: Celebrity Dirt’“).

Prime Video has released new color and b/w trailers for Spider-Noir.  The live-action series starring Nicholas Cagbe will be available both in color and b/w beginning on May 27.  A previous, shorter trailer combined b/w and color footage (see “Spider-Noir Trailer“).

Crunchyroll has released a trailer for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea, which will premiere in North America on May 1, 2026.  This feature is a stand-alone side story between Seasons 3 and 4 of the anime series, which is based on the manga series published by Kodansha Comics in the U.S.

Paramount+ has released a trailer and announced the premiere date for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4.  The fourth season will premiere on July 23, 2026.  The streamer has announced that a shortened Season 5 will be the final season for the series (see “’Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Final Season“).

A suspect has been arrested in the unauthorized online distribution of a complete copy of Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender on X months before release, according to Variety.  A 26-year-old man was arrested in Singapore for downloading the film via unauthorized access to a medi8a server and posting it on social media, according to the report.  The film was originally slated for theatrical release, but will now go straight to streaming on Paramount+ (see “’Aang’ to Streaming“), a decision that has been criticized by fans and by the director and others associated with the production.Source: ICV2
