Wiccan, the son of the Scarlet Witch, will star in his first solo series since the character was created in 2005 as a member of the Young Avengers. Wiccan: Witches’ Road, a five-part limited series by writer Wyatt Kennedy and artist Andy Pereira, will follow Wiccan as he makes a dangerous journey in order to save his husband Hulkling, who has suffered grievous injuries. The journey will bring Wiccan face to face with a new antagonist and uncover new information about his superpowers and his legacy. Marvel will release the first issue on December 3, 2025, with a main cover by Lucas Werneck and variants by Russell Dauterman and Luciano Vecchio.
The story will “dive deep into who Billy [Wiccan] is as a single individual and explore what his title as Wiccan really means to both himself and the greater Marvel universe,” Kennedy said in a statement accompanying the announcement.
Flamer creator Mike Curato wrote and drew a Wiccan story for the Abrams anthology Marvel Super Stories (see “Marvel, Abrams Team Up for Middle-Grade Superhero Anthology”).
