Archon Studio announced that they will be launching a StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game in 2026, which will be followed by StarCraft board games in 2027.
These games will be released via a licensing partnership with Blizzard Entertainment, who produced the StarCraft video games. Fantasy Flight Games had previously held the license to StarCraft, producing a board game in 2008 (see “‘StarCraft’“). In the new miniatures game, players will control either the Terran, Zerg, or Protoss factions and do battle on the tabletop. The game will offer players high-quality miniatures, rich gameplay mechanics, and the ability to customize factions.
“StarCraft has always been an inspiration for us,” said Michal Pawlaczyk, COO of Archon Studio. “Its deep lore, strategic gameplay, and iconic factions make it perfect for an immersive tabletop experience. We can’t wait to show the community what we’ve been working on.”
