DC Comics is releasing the first book format versions of its Absolute trinity, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, in August. All three will collect the first six issues of the respective books, at $24.99 for 176-page hardcovers and $17.99 for softcovers.
Absolute Batman Vol. 1: The Zoo is written by Scott Snyder, with art by Nick Dragotta and Gabriel Walta, with cover by Dragotta. Street date is August 5.
Absolute Superman Vol. 1: Last Dust of Krypton is written by Jason Aaron with art by Rafa Sandoval and Carmine di Giandomenico, cover by Sandoval. Street date is August 19.
Absolute Wonder Woman Vol. 1: The Last Amazon is written by Kelly Thompson, with art by Hayden Sherman and Mattia de Iulis, cover by Sherman. Street date is August 12.
The comics were DC’s bestsellers in years, and the collections should find steady sales velocity through the holidays as a result.
