Garphill Games to Launch Kickstarter for “South Tigris” Trilogy Expansions in Early 2025

Garphill Games has announced a Kickstarter campaign scheduled for early 2025 that will introduce expansions for their “South Tigris” game series. The campaign will feature expansions for each of the three games in the trilogy as well as a comprehensive saga expansion.

The “Wayfarers of the South Tigris: Tides of Trade” expansion will add a new board for upgrading workers, a fourth red minaret which introduces a new area control spot, Trader Tiles, and new Overseer Townsfolk cards that provide new actions. This expansion aims to broaden the game’s strategic options.

In the “Scholars of the South Tigris: Body of Books” expansion, a new Medicine research track will be introduced, along with black dice and experience points, emphasizing the publishing of scientific findings and enhancing the game’s focus on engine building and strategic combo creation.

The “Inventors of the South Tigris: Era of Experts” expansion will incorporate 12 variable player power boards and additional game components, aimed at increasing the game’s variability, replayability, and strategic depth.

Additionally, “Moonsaga,” a new trilogy campaign, will allow for a solo 6-chapter campaign with decisions that influence the progression between games. This campaign will utilize the new expansions, starting with the base game and adding expansions in subsequent chapters.

The Kickstarter, set to launch on September 24, will also offer “The Anarchy” and “Skara Brae” games for $92 plus shipping, each accompanied by promotional items. Add-ons such as dry erase boards and a Folded Space insert for “Skara Brae” will be available to enhance player experience. The games will be available in English, Italian, and French.
