Mantic Games has acquired River Horse’s brand and assets in a strategic partnership agreement.
Mantic Games CEO Ronnie Renton and River Horse CEO Alessio Cavatore will be working together again to deliver new games based on solid IPs to their collective customer base. Their working relationship stems from their days at Games Workshop into the early days of Kings of War. As part of this agreement, Mantic buys River Horse’s brand and assets, and gets access to their licensing agreements. These licenses include Jim Henson IPs like Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal as well as others. Cavatore will stay on as a product consultant as Mantic launches new games with River Horse’s IPs.
The first of the River Horse games that will be produced under the Mantic/River Horse combined banner will be a special 40th Anniversary Collection of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: The Board Game (see “Labyrinth: The Board Game“).
