Free League Publishing has announced that pre-orders are now open for two new expansions for the role-playing game Twilight: 2000. Titled “Hostile Waters” and “The Black Madonna”, these expansions add new dimensions to the game’s post-apocalyptic setting. Interested players can place their pre-orders through the Free League webshop, with immediate access to the PDF versions of the expansions provided upon purchase.
“Hostile Waters” introduces a modular expansion focused on marine environments, enabling players to explore and engage in adventures on or near water. The expansion draws inspiration from “Pirates of the Vistula” from the game’s first edition but is designed to be flexible for use in various waterway settings. It includes a comprehensive 104-page book filled with new rules and gaming materials, encounter cards specific to river or lake settings, modular battle maps, and tokens for different sizes of boats and ships. Additionally, a large double-sided travel map for northern Poland and southern Sweden is provided, connecting to the maps in the core RPG set.
“The Black Madonna” offers a campaign expansion based on a classic adventure, updated for the current edition of the game. Developed with contributions from original author Frank Frey and Chris Keeling, this expansion focuses on the Silesia region of Poland. It features new rules, weapons, encounters, factions, and details about the Black Madonna and its mysteries. The boxed set contains a 72-page book with campaign materials, new encounter cards, battle maps for specific locations and close quarters combat, and a travel map.
