Red Raven Games will release Distant Skies, a sequel to Ryan Laukat’s Sleeping Gods, into retail on February 21, 2024.
This storybook game is a standalone sequel to Sleeping Gods, which released in 2021 (see “‘Sleeping Gods’“). In the game, players have flown their cargo plane through a portal and ended up in the Sleeping Gods open world setting. As they explore the branching storylines in the game, they will interact with an atlas that offers up challenging obstacles to overcome and lost relics to find. Distant Skies features a new action system that has a fresh take on combat in the game where players build combat decks. The sequel also builds upon the story laid out in the first game, but it is a standalone, so it can be played without owning the first game.
The game is for one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in one to 15 hours. It will retail for $99.99.
