Following its initial success, the game is now set for a second printing, a testament to its widespread acclaim and popularity.

Having raised over $13,399 on Kickstarter so far, surpassing its $5,000 goal, “Votes for Women” has captured the attention and support of 166 backers with 36 days still remaining in the campaign, concluding on January 26. The game’s first edition sold out completely, prompting this much-anticipated second print run.

The game has garnered high praise from notable publications and organizations. It was named one of the top games of 2023 by both Polygon and Vulture (New York magazine) and was declared the best game of the year by National Public Radio. “Votes for Women” also won the prestigious Summit Award for its role in broadening the board game hobby, praised for its ease of teaching, uniqueness of topic, and historical accuracy. Further accolades include nominations for two Golden Geek Awards and a Charles S. Roberts Award.

“Votes for Women” offers players a chance to immerse themselves in the historical journey of the women’s suffrage movement, beginning from the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention. The game intricately weaves the complexities of this monumental movement, from its masterful organizers and eloquent speakers to the challenges of wars, internal conflicts, pandemics, and parades that shaped the battle for women’s right to vote.

This card-driven game is designed to be versatile, accommodating competitive, cooperative, or solitaire play styles. It includes a beautifully mounted game board featuring a map of the continental United States, over 150 high-quality cards showcasing period portraits, historical documents, and stunning artwork, 18 organizing buttons, an easy-to-understand rule book, and an original historical essay. Additionally, players will find over a dozen historical documents and postcards from the suffrage struggle, more than 300 wooden pieces, and sixteen dice.
