Everything you need to know about Anabel & Snorlax and Emma & Crobat in Pokémon Masters EX

Pokémon Masters EX, the official strategy and battling Pokémon game for mobile platforms, is now available for download on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). In-game events are being hosted on a regular basis, featuring additional Pokémon and recognizable characters from across the Pokémon franchise.

The Kalos villain arc is heating up as Team Flare causes chaos and Lysandre reappears with a new partner Pokémon of Mythical proportions—but who’s really pulling the strings? As one of the most powerful Fire-type sync pairs on Pasio, Silver & Ho-Oh don’t need much to pack a punch, but they can always benefit from boosted stats. Anabel & Snorlax can do just that with their trainer move, Requesting Backup! This move raises all allied sync pairs’ Attack stat by two stat ranks while also applying the Special Damage Reduction effect to the allied field of play. Combined with Reflect, which applies the Physical Damage Reduction effect to all allies, Anabel & Snorlax can keep Silver & Ho-Oh in tip-top fighting shape. Silver & Ho-Oh can be acquired after completing Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings in the Legendary Adventures section of the main story.

Anabel and Looker worked closely together in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, and they’re a dream team once again on Pasio! Anabel & Snorlax’s Requesting Backup! coupled with Looker & Croagunk’s On the Case! quickly maxes out Looker and Croagunk’s Attack stat. Anabel & Snorlax can also provide additional backup with Reflect, mitigating both the physical and special damage taken by all allied sync pairs. Looker & Croagunk are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs.

Here We Go! can only raise Emma & Crobat’s Attack so much, but Janine & Crobat, a support sync pair, can boost their Attack those final two ranks with X Attack All. Janine & Crobat can also raise the Sp. Atk, Speed, and evasiveness of all allies with See Through THIS! Since Janine & Crobat are also a Poison-type sync pair, both pairs will enjoy a theme skill bonus while on the same team. Janine & Crobat can be acquired by exchanging a BP Sync Pair Voucher in the Battle Point Item Exchange.

There’s clearly no shortage of dependable Crobat Trainers on Pasio, and Koga & Crobat can help Emma & Crobat make the most of their buddy move. Emma & Crobat’s B Cross Poison is a powerful move, but it requires at least one opponent be poisoned or badly poisoned. That’s where Koga & Crobat come in—they can easily poison the opponent with Poison Fang, paving the way for Emma & Crobat to deal devastating damage with B Cross Poison. Koga & Crobat are available to scout from the general pool of 4★ sync pairs.
