Heavy Metal has just launched a Humble Bundle that includes 45 issues of the magazine, starting with the very first issue, April 1977, which included a story by the French creator Moebius, and running all the way to this year’s 45th anniversary issue.
Titled “The Bleeding Heart of Heavy Metal, Vol. 1,” the Humble Bundle includes issues with stories by Richard Corben, Howard Chaykin and Len Wein, Harvey Kurtzman, and William Gibson, among others. The full 45-comic bundle, worth $674 at full price, has a minimum price of $25, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Smaller bundles of 3, 12, and 25 comics are also available at lower prices; none of these includes the first issue.
The Humble Comics Bundle: The Bleeding Heart of Heavy Metal Vol. 1 (linked here in hopes that readers will be generous to the CBLDF) runs until November 10.
