Roy Thomas, Neil Gaiman to Be Inducted into Harvey Awards Hall of Fame

The Harvey Awards has announced four inductees into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame. Writer Neil Gaiman (The Sandman, American Gods), writer and former Marvel Editor-in-Chief Roy Thomas (The Avengers, X-Men), underground comix creator Gilbert Shelton (The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers), and cartoonist Marge Buell (Little Lulu) will all be honored at the Harvey Awards ceremony, which will be held on Friday, October 7, during New York Comic Con.

The nominees for the 2022 Harvey Awards were announced in August (see “2022 Harvey Award Nominations Announced”).

The Harvey Awards are named in honor of the late cartoonist Harvey Kurtzman, and the Harvey Awards Steering Committee is co-chaired by Nellie Kurtzman, John Lind, and Chip Mosher. This year’s award are being coordinated by Chris D’Lando and Camilla Di Persia of ReedPop and Eden Miller.
