Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group has announced the addition of two staffers.
Bess Pallares has joined Oni Press as an editor. Pallares holds an M.S. in publishing and a certificate in comics studies from Portland State University. She previously worked for Oni Press as an editorial assistant, and has also been a writer for universities and a newspaper editor. Pallares will edit the licensed titles Rick and Morty and Aggretsuko, among others.
Gabriel Granillo recently joined Oni Press as an editorial assistant. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in journalism, and served as an arts & culture writer and editor at Flagstaff Live! and the Arizona Daily Sun, as well as an associate editor at Portland Monthly, where he wrote about health and wellness, travel and outdoors, and more. His fiction and poetry have appeared in several print and online journals, including, most recently, the Portland-based Timberline Review. At Oni Press, Gabriel will proofread, copy edit, and co-edit titles, including Season of the Bruja and other Oni licensed titles.
