W.A.S.D 2022, the London Games Festival’s newest and shiniest game convention, is coming up next weekend (April 7-9) and not only is our big sister site PCGamesN official media partner to the show, but Wargamer will be there too, flying the flag for tabletop games! Tickets are still available – you can buy them here.
Alongside W.A.S.D’s cornucopia of playable indie games and AAA titles, game industry panels, talks, and keynote speeches from across the gaming world, we’re excited to announce it’ll also feature a panel discussion led by your old pal Wargamer! Joined by a crack squad of senior figures from some of the biggest names in the biz, we’ll be discussing the relationship between videogames and their tabletop cousins (past, present, and future). Watch out for more details on it in the coming days – this is not one to miss, and we’d love to see you there.
Together with a happy band of partners from across the tabletop game industry, Wargamer will also be helping run the W.A.S.D Tabletop & Chill Out Zone. It’s a space at the show where guests can relax, check out a selection of the best tabletop games (classics and unreleased titles alike); play a few for themselves – and perhaps pick up a few boxes of tabletop joy to take home with them.

Naturally, our tabletop treats are only a couple among countless cool things happening at W.A.S.D that should have you snapping up tickets right now.
PCGamesN’s packed schedule of events includes expert talks and discussions on topics like sustainability in games; relaxation, succeeding on Steam; and getting into game journalism – among many others. That’s on top of access to an ever growing catalogue of over 100 playable videogames, of course. It’s going to be a blast.

There are still tables available in the W.A.S.D Tabletop & Chill Zone, too – so, if you’re a London or UK-based tabletop games store or publisher and you’d like to get involved (for free), get in touch with Wargamer’s editor right away at [email protected]! Time is, as they say, of the essence.
