Dark Horse Comics is bringing out an ongoing Barbie comic series.
Barbie: Together in Time is the first six-issue arc, written by Ben Kahn, art by Natalie Nardozza, colors by Heather Breckel, and letters by Frank Cvetkovic.
At Barbie’s science internship, Ken wanders into the supercollider and vanishes into time. Barbie and Barbie, aided by Dr. von Science, visit different historical periods to collect Ken’s time energy and rescue him. The premise allows each issue to feature historical Barbie dolls.
The main cover is by Bowen McCurdy with variant covers by Laia Lopez, Gretel Lusky, and Paulina Ganucheau, plus a blank variant. The first issue will be $4.99 and is due out February 10, 2027.
TOKYOPOP has announced plans for Barbie manga-style graphic novels (see “TOKYOPOP and Mattel Ink Deal“), while the 2023 Barbie movie was a huge success (see “‘Barbie’ Still Breaking Records“).
