The Pokémon Trading Card Game is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a new retrospective series revisiting the history of Pokémon cards, starting with the original Base Set and other early releases. The first installment looks back at the cards that helped establish the Pokémon TCG as a global phenomenon, with a second part teased for a later release. Some of the featured cards will also appear in the upcoming Pokémon TCG and Santa Cruz collaboration, which launches at skate shops worldwide on Oct. 17, 2026. The retrospective offers longtime collectors a chance to revisit the franchise’s early trading cards as the Pokémon TCG continues its 30th anniversary celebrations.
