Act 4 Publishing, in partnership with Skybound and Image Comics, will bring J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist’s Edition to comic shops on June 2, 2027, and to bookstores on June 29. The oversized volume was crowdfunded on Kickstarter, drawing over $537,000 in pledges from over 1,500 backers.
Like other Artist’s Editions, J. Scott Campbell’s Danger Girl Artist’s Edition reproduces the original art at actual size. The 12” x 17” hardcover will include pages from the original Danger Girl miniseries as well as covers, sketches, and more, with two foldouts and two tri-foldouts. The book also includes an introduction with commentary by Campbell and will have two covers, one a direct market exclusive, both by Campbell.
Co-created by Campbell and Andy Hartnell, Danger Girl debuted in 1998 as a seven-issue series, with Act 4 founder Scott Dunbier as the original editor. There have been numerous spinoffs and crossover since then (see “‘Danger Girl’ & ‘Ash’ Crossover”), and a film adaptation is in pre-production (see “‘Danger Girl’”).
