Drawn & Quarterly will publish Chris Ware’s Acme Novelty Library #21, the first new entry in his long-running series since 2010 (see “‘Acme Novelty Library’ #20“) and his first original comics work since 2019. The work consists of an 11″ x 15” folio box containing three pamphlet comics, two cardboard buildings, and a broadsheet, all alluding to Ware’s previous work as well as his long-running themes including family and parenthood. The release date is November 3, 2026, and the MSRP is $35.00.
Ware’s work is also part of a traveling exhibit that began at France’s Pompidou Centre and is currently on display at the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, where it will run until May 9, 2027.
Ware was inducted into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame in 2026.
