Top Webtoon Properties in Comic Stores – Summer 2026

ICv2’s list of the top webtoon properties in comic stores for Summer (May-August) 2026, based on data from ComicHub and Comic Shop Assistant point-of-sale systems, shows some continuity with last year (see “Top Webtoon Properties in Comic Stores – Spring 2025“) as well as some new additions.  We calculate the Top Properties based on the sum of sales of all of the volumes related to the property.

The biggest title on the chart is Dungeon Crawler Carl, which far outsells all the other webtoon-based graphic novels and is also doing well in bookstores. In addition to the webtoon, the graphic novel also drafts on the success of the Mat Dinniman webnovels and their print editions.  Vol. 2 is due out in a few weeks (see “LCSD Retailers to Get ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’ Vol. 2 Early“).

Solo Leveling continues to be a strong seller, with 15 volumes of the original series in print and a sequel, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, which launched in July.

Jeff the Land Shark, who started out as a webtoon on the Marvel Unlimited digital platform, has become a solid favorite with print readers, in both comic and graphic novel formats.

Sales of Lore Olympus, one of the first webtoons to reach best-seller status, have declined since the first few volumes came out but still sells consistently; Book 11 is slated for October 2026.  The success of this title led directly to Random House establishing the Inklore imprint.  Two other Inklore series, the manhua (Chinese comic) Heaven Official’s Blessing and the manhwa Under the Oak Tree, are also among the top ten webtoon properties in print of the season.

The YA series Heartstopper wrapped up in July with Vol. 6 (see “The End of ‘Heartstopper’“), but thanks to Scholastic’s marketing muscle, it is likely to be an evergreen title.

Hooky is a middle-grade series about witches that wrapped up in 2023 but continues to be available on the WEBTOON platform.

Finally, two of DC Comics’ original webtoon series, Red Hood Outlaws and Batman: Wayne Family Adventures, continue to sell well in comic shops long after the final volume came out; both of these have a different feel from the more traditional DC comics and may appeal to a different readership, one that is younger and less tied in with current continuity.
