Pokémon GO will host the Phantump Catch Mastery event on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, with Phantump featured in Field Research, free Timed Research and paid Timed Research alongside an increased chance of encountering Shiny Phantump. Trainers will receive 2× XP and increased Candy for catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better, while Cherubi and Drifloon will appear more frequently in the wild with boosted Shiny odds. Field Research will also feature Cherubi, Drifloon and Phantump, while Timed Research focused on catching Phantump will offer encounters, XP, Stardust and other rewards. A US$1.99 paid Timed Research ticket will provide additional Phantump encounters and rewards and can be gifted to Great Friends or higher, while the Pokémon GO Web Store will offer a Phantump Catch Mastery Ultra Ticket Box for US$1.99 containing the event ticket and two Rare Candies. Timed Research tasks and rewards must be completed and claimed by 8 p.m. local time on Sept. 26.
