Nintendo has confirmed that Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch – OLED Model will no longer be sold in Europe from mid-February 2027 as the company transitions toward Nintendo Switch 2. Starting this summer, Nintendo will begin rolling out revised Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and select accessories featuring user-replaceable batteries to prepare for upcoming European battery regulations. The updated Nintendo Switch 2 console, Joy-Con 2 controllers, Pro Controller and other accessories will maintain the same functionality as current versions, with availability expanding through early 2027.
