DSTLRY has hired Chris Ross as Head of Remarques and promoted Tyler Jirik to Manager, Publishing & Store, the company announced today.

In his new role, Ross will oversee the Neon Ichiban Remarques program, which allows fans to commission sketches or signatures on their digital comics.  The patent pending program was launched for DSTLRY’s own comics back in 2024 (see “DSTLRY Remarques“) and for publishers on its Neon Ichiban digital comics platform last fall (see “Digital Arms Race“).

Ross comes to DSTLRY from Dark Horse, where he was Technical Product Manager.  He had prior stints with Image Comics as Director of Digital Services, and IDW Publishing as Director of Digital Publishing and Lead Graphic Designer, where he designed the March trilogy.

“We exist to bring creators and fans closer together and to unlock an entirely new revenue stream for creators, and Chris understands that opportunity deeply,” DSTLRY CEO David Steinberger said of the hire.  “His experience across publishing, product, and digital innovation makes him a perfect fit for where we’re headed. “

Jirik new role is an internal promotion, building on his role in supporting the company’s publishing schedule, retailer coordination, merchandising, and fan-facing operations.  His responsibilities will now expand across publishing operations, the company’s Neon Ichiban digital storefront, and event support.

“This promotion reflects the trust we have in him as we continue scaling both DSTLRY and Neon Ichiban,” DSTLRY Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer Chip Mosher said of the promotion.

DSTLRY will resume publishing physical releases in June (see “DSTLRY Returns to Print“).
