Indie comic distributor Philbo Distribution is making a number of changes for 2027, adding a retailer catalog, going to flat pricing, eliminating minimum orders, and shortening their FOC deadlines, among others. The printed catalog, with info on the indie titles Philbo distributes, will launch in January.
Philbo will begin offering all wholesale customers 50% discounts, in conjunction with eliminating any minimum orders for that pricing. “This straightforward pricing structure allows shops of every size to carry independent comics while maintaining competitive profit margins,” the company said in their announcement.
Philbo is shortening the deadline for Final Order Cut-off orders from 60 days before release to 30. And it is implementing a limited return program, making up to 2 comics returnable from orders up to $100, 4 comics returnable for orders from $101 to $250, and 6 comics returnable for orders of $250 or more.
Philbo distributes publishers in the Indie comic Alliance (see “Indie Publishers Band Together“), Antarctic Press, Blind Squirrel Comics, Hermes Press, Zenescope Entertainment, and many others.
