Marvel Comics has launched their own line of compact editions, separate from their Premier Editions, but they haven’t made a big deal about it. In fact, unlike every other publisher, they don’t currently have a special cover design for their compact editions; the only clue is a special logo in the solicits (but not on the covers themselves, at least at present). Still all hew to the basic formula of 300-ish pages, 5.5” x 8.5” trim size, and MSRP of $9.99.
The first book in the series, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, launched in June, made the BookScan Top 20 in August (see “August 2026 Circana BookScan”), probably getting a boost from the movie (see “‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Claims #2 All-Time“), and placed in the ComicHub/Comic Shop Assistant top 20 in June, July, and August. Unlike other publishers’ compact editions, this book is not a complete story arc but a collection of self-contained stories. However, the upcoming volumes are mostly single story arcs, including four Ultimate Universe titles.

- Spider-Gwen: The Radioactive Spider-Woman, by writers Jason Latour and Tom Taylor and artists Robbi Rodriguez and Chris Visions, collecting Edge of Spider-Verse (2014) #2, Spider-Gwen (2015a) #1-5, Spider-Gwen (2015b) #1-6, Spider-Gwen Annual (2016) #1 and All-New Wolverine Annual (2016) #1. (March 16)
- Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man, by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artists Sara Pichelli, Mark Bagley, and Chris Samnee, collecting Ultimate Spider-Man (2009) #160, Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (2011) #1-12 and material from Ultimate Fallout (2011) #4. (March 16)
- Ultimates: Fix the World Year One, by writer Deniz Camp and artists Juan Frigeri, Phil Noto, and Chris Allen, collecting Ultimates (2024) #1-12 and the Ultimates story from Free Comic Book Day 2024: Spider-Man/Ultimate Universe #1. (April 13)
- Ultimate Spider-Man: Fix the World Year One, by writer Jonathan Hickman and artists Marco Checchetto and David Messina, collecting Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) #1-12. (April 13)

Marvel is also continuing its line of Premier Collections with three new titles scheduled for Spring 2027 (see “Marvel Lines Up More Premier Collections for Spring 2027”).
