Marvel to Collect Satirical Series ‘What The–?!’ in Massive Omnibus

Marvel Comics will collect the full run of the 1988-1993 series What The–?! in a single omnibus volume. The satirical comic, subtitled “The Marvel Mag of Mirth and Mayhem,” featured short stories about The Fantastical Four, the Pulverizer, Doctor Deranged, and the Man-Thang, among others.  The volume includes What The–?! (1988) #1-26, with work by a lineup of writers including Scott Lobdell, Barry Dutter, Aaron Lopresti, Hilary Barta, Doug Rice, Sholly Fisch, Peter Gillis, Bill Wray, Kurt Busiek, Fred Hembeck, John Byrne, Peter David, Stan Lee, Don McGregor, Alan Kupperbeg, and Dan Slott, with artwork by Rurik Tyler, Aaron Lopresti, Hilary Barta, John Costanza, Marie Severin, John Byrne, Richard Howell, Jim Lee, Joe Quesada, Erik Larsen, Whilce Portacio, Dale Keown, Mike Mignola, Todd McFarlane, Joe Staton, Fred Hembeck, Steve Ditko, John Severin, and Alan Kupperberg.  The 1,072-page hardcover will go on sale on March 24, 2027, with a main cover by Jon Bogdanove and a direct market-exclusive cover by Hilary Barta.  MSRP will be $125.

Marvel also recently announced an omnibus edition of the crossover event One World Under Doom (see “Marvel to Omnibize ‘One World Under Doom’”).
