Today could be a great opportunity for you to pick up some new Pokémon cards, as Target has one of the First Partner collection boxes up for sale, and at a pretty bargain price.
These boxes, created in celebration of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, each contain three out of a total of nine special promo cards, each one a full art featuring one of the starter Pokémon you can select at the beginning of a game.
In this case, it’s the new First Partner series 3 boxes that are on sale, containing Kalos, Hoenn, and Paldea starters. Huh, do you need more than that? Very well. You’ll get three of: Mudkip, Torchic, and Treecko; Sprigtatito, Quaxly, and Fuecoco; and Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.
Target is selling these collections for $17.99 right now, and since they only contain two packs, be aware that you’re paying a premium for those promos. Which is fair enough, as they’re gorgeous full art, Illustration Rare style cards that will only be available in this set. The packs included are the two most recent English Pokémon sets: Chaos Rising and Pitch Black.
Since these boxes are selling for $35 – $40 on TCGPlayer right now, this seems like a steal! I’m attempting to get this article out as quickly as possible, in fact, because I just know the supply will be dwindling even as I hastily type these words.
