Skybound dropped another Hasbro character into its M.A.S.K. series with no announcement, revealing in M.A.S.K. #3 that Micronauts villain Baron Karza is secretly allied with M.A.S.K. bad guy Miles Mayhem.
The new appearance continues Skybound’s string of stealth reveals; they included a copy of the previously unannounced ROM #1 in some of their blind bags for M.A.S.K. #1 (see “First ‘Rom’ Comic and ‘M.A.S.K. Origins’ Will Be Open to Order“).
“The record-setting launch of M.A.S.K. shocked and delighted fans, and we’re continuing the exciting momentum with the reprint of this monumental third issue,” Executive Editor Ben Abernathy said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “With the introduction of the mysterious Baron Karza, who knows what could happen next!”
Marvel Comics was the first publisher of Micronauts comics, and in 2025 they announced a line of reprints that included both omnibus and facsimile editions (see “‘Micronauts’ Return to Marvel Comics“).
