Image Comics will release a new edition of Vol. 1 of Wytches, by Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder and Batman artist Jock, just ahead of the premiere of the television adaptation. Wytches, Vol. 1: Pledged Edition will collect Wytches #1-6, Wytches: Bad Egg Halloween Special, and material from issue #7 of the Image! anthology. Some of the artwork has been recolored to match the animated series. The 240-page paperback will be available on the direct market on October 21, 2026, and in bookstores on November 17, with an MSRP of $19.99.
“Wytches was a deeply personal book, born out of the real fears I had as an anxious parent,” Snyder said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “It’s one of my favorite projects, and creating it with Jock made it all the better… Plus the new colors by Matt Hollingsworth make this the definitive version Jock and I meant to tell.”
“[G]etting the chance to pull together the rarer stories alongside our first major arc will give readers the full Wytches experience as we head into a new, exciting new era of our beloved story!” Jock added.
Image announced Wytches as one of a flurry of announcements in 2014, and the horror series debuted later that year (see “Image Announces Major 2014 Projects”). The first volume was number 10 on the BookScan graphic novel chart in 2015 (see “July 2015 BookScan”).
