Get ready to step into the Dark Ages of the Masquerade with the D&D/V:tM Crossover, Bound By Blood, available now on D&D Beyond.
The D&D/Vampire: The Masquerade crossover is available as of today. What a little treat to unlock just before Gen Con. Titled Bound by Blood, this is a crossover both rules guide and also adventure. I’d say it’s more of an expansion than an adventure, but it does give you the tools to start playing immediately without having to worry about how the rules fit in. It’s a pretty big challenge, introducing the flavors of Vampire to D&D, but with a whole new “Kindred” class and six accompanying subclasses to give you ways to use all that blood, it might just be up your alley.

Vampire: The Masquerade is enjoying an ironic moment in the sun, right now. With a big announcement coming up at Gen Con, and with the recent City Council of Darkness season of Dimension 20, Vampire fans are sating their Hunger. I’m cautiously optimistic about this book.
It’s not the first d20/VtM crossover. There have been others… we don’t talk about them. Not any more. But Bound by Blood sets out a clear goal, “capture the feeling of playing Vampire and put it in D&D.”
To accomplish this, we have a whole new class. The Kindred comes with a system of Blood Points, Disciplines, and of course, the Beast to struggle against. Alongside that, new feats, new equipment, and other stuff designed to make you feel like one of the creatures of the night.
“700 CE. The rain has turned to falling snow and the days of Northern Brittania grow shorter with each dusk. Your coterie has returned home to mourn. But in the quiet town on the edge of the woods, something monstrous lurks in the dark with a bloodlust as great as your own. Welcome to the World of Darkness…”
Alongside the new rules in the expansion, you get a level 4 mystery. And yeah, I’ll say up front, it feels a little weird to think of your character as a “Level 4 Kindred Brujah” or whatever. But it’s not completely out of pocket, “level ups” and Vampire have worked together before, as anyone who’s played Bloodlines will know.
