Elves AND Dinos? In this economy? It’s time for big Exodite Kill Team boxed set, plus other new Kill Teams, and Horus Heresy Squads.
Next week’s pre-order releases are aimed pretty much right at me, with the release of an Exodite boxed set for Kill Team. As we all know, the Exodites are the best part of the Aeldari, because they’re space elves that ride dinosaurs. I mean, what more do you need?
Though, along with the Exodite Kill Team box, you’ll also find a bunch of new individual Kill Teams, some new terrain, and even the Horus Heresy is getting in on the smaller kit action with the release of MkIV Tactical and Assault Squads. All this, next week!
Exodites Join Kill Team
First up the big boxed set, which updates the Exodites for the first time in a while. In the Exodites Kill Team box, you’ll find a host of cool new minis, as Exodite Dragon Masters take on a team of Beast Snagga Orks.
The Beast Snaggas have a team of 10 Beast Snagga Boyz and 5 Squighog Boyz which can be NPOs in the included narrative missions. Fun. Easy.
But the Exodites (and their dinos) are the stars of the show. You get three Dragon Masters and two Drakolithes, which is a mere 5 compared to the 15 Orks. Somehow, I think they’ll be more than a match.
Of course, the Exodites aren’t the only Kill Team release next week. The Spectre Squad, out of the Terror on Devlan boxed set is now available individually. So you can bring the Militarum’s special forces to any battlefield you like now.
Meanwhile, there are several Kill Teams that have made the jump to full on multi-part plastic proper 40K kits. These include the Kroot Farstalkers, Navy Breachers, the Extraction Squad, Fellgor Beastment, Raptors, and even the Kasrkin Kill Team now all ready to be a regular (extremely cool looking) unit in your army.
The battlefields of the Horus Heresy era are getting scores of new power armored Marines. You can find the MkIV Tactical Squad, which comes with 20 Tactical Marines in classic armor, with vambrace parts for every Sace Marine to make them even more compatible with other upgrade sets.
As well, you can snag the MkIV Assault Squad, which comes with 10 Assault Marines in MkIV Maximus Armor, with bolt pistol and chainsword. Or you can outfit them with power lances for a Veteran Assault Squad.
And if you really want to kit out your Veteran squads, there’s a new upgrade pack of Horus Heresy Combi-weapons and Shotguns to dig into, with 10 each of combi-volkites, combi-flamers, combi-plasmas, and combi-meltas, plus 10 Astartes Shotguns for close range breaching.
