YouTube Animation, R.L. Stine Illustrated Series, Graphic Novel, More
Summer of Skull, a promotional event for Craniacs, will include YouTube animation, the launch of an R.L. Stine illustrated book series, the first graphic novel, and more.
A Craniacs YouTube channel will launch in late July with animated episodes based on the first Craniacs comic series from Titan Comics (see “Titan Takes Craniacs”), with motion, character voices, and sound and visual effects. Other artist-driven content, including GIFs of the key characters, will also be featured.
Two volumes in a new Craniacs middle-grade illustrated novel series written by R.L. Stine will be released on August 25 by Simon & Schuster. The series is Craniacs Quest, and the first two titles are Escape from the Chrome Dome and Revenge of the Rhinobino. Each volume will feature painted covers and interior illustrations by Craniacs co-creator Joe Simko.
The Craniacs graphic novel collecting the four-issue Titan comic miniseries (see “’Craniacs’ Wraparound Cover”) is now scheduled for July 22 release.
The Craniacs property, from Ira Friedman and artist Joe Simko, launched as a trading card property; the fourth set, Cranimal Chaos, will be released in October in Hobby Box and Blaster Box configurations.
