Anime Expo panels offered up a bevy of announcements, time to round-up the biggest ones!
Crunchyroll announced Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a new anime movie that will head to theaters (no date announced yet). The movie will present the next part of Sung Jinwoo’s journey, starting from the end of Season 2 of the hit anime (see “‘Solo Leveling’“).
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle will head to streaming on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026. This movie was one of the biggest theatrical hits of 2025, grossing almost $800 million globally (see “‘Demon Slayer’ Slays Again“).
A streaming date has been announced for Delicious in Dungeon Season 2. The second season, based on the award-winning manga by Ryoko Kui (see “‘Delicious in Dungeon’ Win Manga Awards“), will begin streaming on Netflix in October 2027.
A new trailer for Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stage 2 has been released (see below). This 11-episode season includes both the 2nd Stage and the 3rd Stage of the story arc (see “Steel Ball Run’“), and will premiere on Netflix on September 25, 2026.
Lucasfilm released a teaser for Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi (see below). This anime spin-off series follows Kara from Kenji Kamiyama’s The Ninth Jedi Star Wars: Visions short (see “New Animated ‘Star Wars’“). It will begin streaming on August 5, 2026.
VIZ Media released a final trailer for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part – The Calamity (see below). This series will begin streaming on Disney+ and Hulu on July 25, 2026. The first three episodes of this series premiered in theaters on June 25-29, 2026 (see “‘Bleach’ in Theaters“).
Sega announced a new animated short for Sonic: The Hedgehog (see teaser below). Sonic the Hedgehog: Memories and Beyond will release this fall in celebration of Sonic’s 35th anniversary. A fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie will head to theaters in 2027 (see “Best in Shows — 2027“).Source: ICV2
