New Rulebook for the Miniatures Skirmish Game That Can Use Any Type of Miniatures
Modphius Entertainment has placed Haywire: Modern Core Rulebook, a new edition of the miniatures skirmish game, onto preorder.
This game, which was originally published online as an indie miniatures game, features rules for class-based, modern tactical skirmish battles that can be set up with miniatures from any publisher. The 224-page book includes a full set of rules accompanied by QR Code links to 22 online videos that help players learn how the game works. It also offers up a process for building missions and narrative campaigns; the book also contains a three-part narrative campaign that sends a player across three continents in an attempt to quell a conflict.
The game can be played in a solo or cooperative mode. Haywire: Modern Core Rulebook also offers players tons of PDF cards that can be printed at home: 36 playable classes, 19 weapons, 30 support options, 30 fog of war events cards, 30 infil points, and 3 AI-driven adversaries. There is also a PDF CQB Terrain Tile Set for the game and four hobby guide tutorials.
It will retail for $54.65.
