Oni Press will publish the sixth and final volume of LySandra Vuong’s Covenant exclusively in print, despite the fact that the series has 738,000 followers and over 29 million reads on the Webtoon platform, where it began. Oni will crowdfund the final volume on Kickstarter, with a campaign set to launch in June 2026; the campaign will also include a three-volume hardcover edition collecting the entire series. The print edition of Vol. 6 will be available at retail on June 16, 2027, with an MSRP of $24.99.
Vuong launched the webcomic on Webtoon in 2020, and Oni picked it up for print in 2023 (see “Oni to Publish ‘Covenant’“). The story follows an exorcist, Ezra, who is struggling with his faith and is tasked with protecting a human, Sunny, from demonic forces.
“Covenant is a supernatural action series about faith, family, and finding your place in a world that expects you to be something you’re not,” Vuong said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “What begins as an action-packed comic about exorcists, demons, and angels reveals a deeply personal story about trauma, love, and the courage to choose your own path. At its heart, it follows Sunny and Ezra as they navigate Heaven and Hell while learning who they are — and who they want to be.”
